Where can I get NPC voice lines for a game?

The RPG NPC Bark Pack covers a merchant, guard and innkeeper, while RPG NPC Bark Pack 2 covers a wizard, priest and blacksmith. The Shooter Callouts and Announcer Voice Pack covers two squad voices, a match announcer and radio-filtered versions of both squads. Choose by role, then map lines to clear situations such as greeting, trading, warning, combat, victory or defeat. Multiple takes help a common trigger avoid repeating one file.

How should NPC barks be triggered?

Tie each group of lines to a gameplay condition, not to one broad random pool. A greeting should not play during danger, and a combat warning should name the event it reports. Set a cooldown so proximity or repeated interactions do not create overlapping speech. When several characters can speak, give urgent information priority and delay lower-value flavour lines. Randomise among valid takes without immediate repetition, but keep subtitle text aligned with the selected recording.

How were these NPC voice lines made?

The lines are written by Outta This World Audio and rendered with text-to-speech using ElevenLabs stock voices. No real person is imitated. Each file was then trimmed and levelled. The packs are organised by character, and every file name carries the words of its line, so you can read a line before playing it and keep only the barks that fit your characters and situations.

How do I implement NPC barks in Unity, Unreal and Godot?

In Unity, play a role's valid takes through an AudioSource and keep positional dialogue mono; Force To Mono is available in the import settings if needed. In Unreal, a Sound Cue Random node can select takes, while MetaSounds can apply state-driven routing. In Godot 4, place alternatives in an AudioStreamRandomizer and use AudioStreamPlayer2D or AudioStreamPlayer3D for characters, or AudioStreamPlayer for an announcer. Track cooldown and priority in gameplay code so random selection cannot create overlapping lines.

Where can I get free NPC and shooter voice lines?

Free RPG NPC Bark Lines contains a guard asking the player's business and calling to arms; an innkeeper wishing safe travels, mentioning treasure under an old bridge and welcoming someone from the cold; and a merchant mentioning a family stall, wishing safe travels and welcoming a customer. Free Shooter Voice Lines contains an alpha acknowledgement, radio grenade warning and reload call; round-one and victory announcements; and bravo calls for contact left, cover and a radio-filtered enemy-down line.
