Questions

Can I use these sounds in a commercial game?

Yes. The licence is royalty-free for commercial and non-commercial projects, with no attribution required, no per-project fee and no expiry. The one restriction is that the audio files may not be resold or redistributed on their own as a sound library.

What format are the files?

WAV, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit stereo, 68 individual files in named folders, about 10 MB unzipped.

Which game engines do they work with?

Any engine that imports WAV, including Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot and GameMaker.

How were the sounds made?

Source audio generated with ElevenLabs Sound Effects under a paid commercial licence, then screened by ear and by measurement, trimmed, faded and level-matched across the library. This is declared on every store listing.

Where to buy

The library is on itch.io at moneywithjjcom.itch.io/90s-retro-tech-library, and on the other stores listed on the store pages. The audio files are identical on every store.
